School-Related Services
Well-established careers in public education allow Gray Area to offer services related to school. These are offered to families and districts. This list is not all-inclusive.
School-related services offered by Gray Area:
- Assistance with developing BIP strategies
- BIP implementation analyses and ecological assessments to determine effectiveness across settings
- Analysis of behavior and effectiveness of strategies
- Help families have a better understanding of their student’s specific educational plan
- Determine strengths in the plan
- Identify any possible changes needed in the student’s plan
- Provide suggestions to families, districts, and outside providers
- Evaluate and determine whether the student’s areas of need are being targeted within their school
- Provide assistance to families before, during, and/or following meetings to monitor compliance of legal regulations
- Meet with families and the student’s school district prior to meetings to offer support and suggestions
- Completed when parents do not agree with the results of a school-based evaluation
- Parents can pursue them independently or they can request an IEE from the district (inquire for more details)
- Would include summarizing any previous testing completed, including Special Education evaluations
- Completion of reports
- Help analyzing and reviewing behavioral data across settings
- Operationally define target behaviors
- Identify triggers and antecedents
- Determine the most effective consequences and reinforcers
