General FAQ
In 2022, the “No Surprises Act” went into effect, which requires healthcare providers to give an estimate of the expected charges for services to patients receiving services without going through insurance. Gray Area, PLLC does not accept insurance. Fees are discussed throughout the process of all services provided and staff are readily available to discuss and disclose any information along those lines that a client may need. Transparency regarding fees is highly important to Gray Area, PLLC staff and clients have the right to receive a good faith estimate for the cost of services prior to receiving the services. If you would like to seek reimbursement from your health insurance provider (if applicable), we can provide a superbill at the end of your visit(s) upon request.
Gray Area accepts electronic fund payments (ACH), Venmo, and all major credit cards, as well as FSA and HSA cards. Payment processing fees are added to the cost of service for credit cards. Payments in exact cash are also accepted.
An intake consultation will be completed to help you determine what services best meet the needs of your family.
All appointments that are missed or not cancelled with 24 hours (one work day) notice will be charged 100% of the full amount as provided in the Fee and Payment Policy. More frequently missed appointments will be charged 100% of the full amount if not cancelled within 48 hours (two work days) notice.

If absence from school is necessary, an excused absence note can be provided for documentation at school.
Gray Area is located at 6401 W. Eldorado Pkwy, Ste. 335 McKinney, TX 75072. The office building is immediately behind Sonic off of Eldorado and Hudson Crossing. There is a side road that comes off of Hudson Crossing and goes directly to the front of the building.
You can text the main Gray Area office number and Dr. Gray will message when it is time for you to walk up to the office with your child.
Your child’s school would need to grant approval and obtain your consent for any services (e.g., school observations) to be completed on school grounds. Only certain services can be completed at school, while the rest are conducted in the Gray Area office.
There are tables and chairs available to families in the lobby of the building.
If a group of children with similar areas of concern arises, group services can be considered. Gray Area will notify families if a group is formed that would be beneficial for their child. In the meantime, if families are interested in groups, they can notify Gray Area and they will be added to the list of interested candidates.
Children need to be accompanied by an adult (e.g., parent, guardian, Gray Area staff member) at all times while in the office building.
There are certain circumstances and ethical limitations that can make it inappropriate for Gray Area to work with an individual and/or family. Gray Area reserves the right to not treat individuals for these circumstances, however, reasons will be explained to families should the situations arise.
